Fear tactics, No Way!

It’s the key moment for change in Egypt. Of course, there’ll be people who will fight for taking over the regime. However, who want to be long-term slaves of an authoritarian regime? It’s because the Egyptian government employed fear tactics to turn people away from exercising their CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS to take part in politics that it ends up in such chaos now. In China and Hong Kong, are we experiencing similar problem of fear tactics exerted by the government? We take part in politics to exercise our CIVIL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS, not necessarily having the ambition to become politicians. But by exercising our rights, we can SPEAK for those who are made voiceless by the government.

埃及的局勢現在是關鍵時刻，當然有很多想執掌政權的人想爭取政權，短時間之內會有可能出現混亂，然而，誰願意被獨裁政權長期剝奪自由？因為獨裁政權 長年使用畏懼政策，使人民無法正常行使公民政治權利，導致今天群龍無首的局面。我們中國和香港是否也同樣面對類似畏懼公民參與政治呢？不是出來參選，而是 盡公民責任關心政事，並為無法為自己發聲的人而發聲。
